The band performed their 50th Anniversary concert on 22nd October 2022 at Holy Trinity Church in Broadstairs. The band was led by David White along with guest conductors Harry Cook and Ray Pickering both ex conductors\ players in the band. Music was performed from all genres, from traditional Greensleeves to rock from the likes of Eric Clapton. The band is pleased to announce that David White has accepted the role of Musical Director. David has conducted the band since our return after the pandemic due to our previous MD (Paul Shand) not being able to return due to ill health. Paul has been appointed the role as band President and will still have an active role with the band as and when his health allows. The band looks forward to it’s next chapter in the bands history…
After 16 months of no rehearsals due to the pandemic the band returned to rehearsals this Thursday. We had a good turn out and the promise of more players returning next week.
